2025-PIAA SE Regional Championship

Downingtown West sent four wrestlers to Souderton this weekend for the 2025 Southeast AAA Regionals. All four competitors advanced to day two, and ultimately, two wrestlers secured their spots at the PIAA State Championship, which kicks off this week.

A major highlight was Brayden Sigle's impressive performance, as he clinched his first Regional Champion title by standing atop the podium. Brayden began the weekend with a fall against Unionville and continued to battle closely in his remaining matches, winning three by decision, culminating in a proud moment at the podium and punching his ticket to Hershey.

Chase Sigle also continued his strong senior season by earning a spot on the podium and securing his place at Hershey. Despite a tough loss in the quarterfinals, Chase fought back through the consolation rounds to finish in 4th place. We are excited to see his final run at states!

Freshman Shaefer Hoffman faced a challenging bracket, ending the weekend with a 3-3 record and earning his first PIAA Regional medal in 6th place. Shaefer had a remarkable freshman season with a 37-8 record, and we look forward to following his journey as he becomes an upperclassman.

Senior Levi Richmond wrapped up his high school wrestling career this weekend, finishing with a 2-2 record after battling hard in narrow matches. Levi had an outstanding senior season, concluding with a 29-12 record and accumulating a total of 88 high school wins. We look forward to following Levi as he continues his career at the collegiate level.

The postseason can be tough, and we are immensely proud of all of our wrestlers for their dedication on the mat. Downingtown West placed 13th out of 55 teams at the Regionals in the Southeast Region. It was wonderful to see so many supporters, including teammates, alumni and members of our wrestling community, rally together to cheer on our team! Make sure to support Brayden Sigle, Chase Sigle, and Sarah Pearson as they compete at states in Hershey this week!
