🔥 Girls District 1/12 Championship Recap! 🔥 Huge day for our Whippet girls at the District 1/12 Championship — the biggest turnout yet in PA’s third official season of girls wrestling! Our young squad battled hard in some of the toughest brackets we’ve seen. 💪💙 🏆 136 — Sarah Pearson dominates her way to a 2nd District Title, going all pins! She moves on to Regionals next Sunday in Quakertown. 🥉 124 — Layla Namerow takes 3rd, bouncing back from an injury‑filled season with a huge performance also secured her place at Regionals. 🎖️ 142 — Avery Dunn finishes 6th, earning two big pins and making a strong postseason run. 💥 100 — Chloe Gahr ends her senior season with grit, grabbing a pin and tech fall. 💥 112 — Madeline O’Brien picks up two wins in her first Districts, including a clutch 7–6 decision. 💥 148 — Samantha Roworth battles through a tough bracket and gains key postseason experience. Downingtown West hosted the annual Whippet Duals and our boys closed out the regular season with a strong 2–1 day.

After a tough quarterfinal, the team stormed back with two dominant wins

🔥 Whippet Duals Recap! 🔥 Downingtown West hosted the annual Whippet Duals and our boys closed out the regular season with a strong 2–1 day. After a tough quarterfinal, the team stormed back with two dominant wins 💥 Big Wins & Highlights: • 3–0 on the day: Shaefer Hoffman, Finn McGovern, Ryder Harlan • Multiple bonus‑point wins: Mason Sigle, Patrick Markey, Anielo Schinchirimini, Josh Pate • Major/Tech Wins: Finn McGovern (TF), Michael Landrum (MD), plus several clutch falls across the lineup • 2–1 overall team record with strong contributions in every dual 👏 JV also saw action throughout the day, gaining valuable experience. They close their season Monday at JV Championships at Downingtown East. This event marks the end of the varsity regular season — next up is the District Championship as our athletes begin their postseason run.
