Downingtown West wrapped up a gritty day at the District 1 AAA Section South Tournament, finishing 6th out of 21 teams and advancing four Whippets to the Southeast Regional Tournament! 🥇 District South Champion: Brayden Sigle (133) 🥈 Finalist: Shaefer Hoffman (107) 🎖️ 4th: Mason Sigle (114) 🎖️ 5th: Michael Landrum (139) DW also had three wrestlers—Patrick Markey (121), Nate Letscher (172), and Finn McGovern (189)—reach the blood round, finishing one match shy of qualifying. Strong efforts across the lineup helped power the team score, with Merhawy Williams, Alex Henle, Ryder Harlan, and Justin Cordero all contributing key wins. The Whippets move on to Regionals next week with toughness, pride, and momentum.
