JV Shines at Cheltenham Duals in Program First
/JV Shines at Cheltenham Duals in Program First
This weekend marked a milestone for our program: for the first time, we had the depth to roster a full JV dual meet lineup and compete at the Cheltenham Duals. Being able to send a complete squad is something we take tremendous pride in—it's a reflection of the growth of our athletes, the commitment they show every day, and the momentum we’re building as a program. We hope to continue fielding a full JV dual lineup for years to come.
We brought 18 JV wrestlers, giving an incredible number of athletes the chance to compete, gain confidence, and log valuable mat time.
Team Results
Our JV squad went 2–1 on the day:
Win vs. Lower Moreland — 65–3
Loss vs. North Penn — 48–25
Win vs. Central Bucks — 56–9
On top of the duals, our wrestlers found even more success in the additional matches offered throughout the day. Every athlete walked away with meaningful experience that will fuel their continued development.
Individual Highlights
We extend huge congratulations to several standout performers:
Henry Russeck — Earned the Team Outstanding Wrestler award, going 3–0 in tough, gritty matches and demonstrating tremendous heart on the mat.
Matt Wright — Undefeated on the day
Justin Cordero — Undefeated on the day
Josh Pate — Undefeated on the day
Proud of the Whole Lineup
Beyond the wins, the day was defined by effort, attitude, and growth. Every wrestler showed up ready to compete, support their teammates, and get better. We’re proud of every athlete who stepped on the mat and grateful for their continued hard work.
Let’s keep building, keep improving, and keep moving forward—together.
