The West JV squad took the mats at Haverford this weekend and put together a strong showing across a deep and competitive tournament field. Our athletes earned valuable experience, battled through tough brackets, and showed the grit and resilience that define the Downingtown West wrestling culture.
We crowned a champion, secured multiple top‑three finishes, and watched many wrestlers fight their way through long wrestleback paths. Most importantly, our athletes continued to grow — learning to stay composed, score points, and bounce back after adversity.

Aiden Taylor – 121A (2–0), Aiden dominated his bracket with a tech fall (18–0) in the semifinals and a pin in the finals to bring home West’s lone championship of the day.

Harsh Shah – 139B (2–1), Harsh went 2–1 in a round‑robin format with two falls and earned the runner‑up spot.

Luke Anthony – 114 (4–1), Dropped his opener but stormed back with four straight wins, including a tight 3–2 victory for 3rd.
